Abstracts Submission Guideline

  • All abstracts must be written in English
  • Access to the website www.cancer.or.kr and click the abstract submission menu of 42nd Annual Meeting
  • Select an appropriate session for your presentation: Oral, Poster, International Session (Oral), Plenary Session
  • In preparation of the abstract, please adopt the following structured format:
    [Original Article] Purpose - Methods - Results - Conclusions
    [Case Report] Case Description - Conclusions
  • The text should be no more than 250 words.
    * Note that text beyond the limits will be truncated.
  • Once abstract submission has been completed, a confirmation letter will be automatically delivered to registrants.
    If there is no confirmation letter after abstract submission, please contact the Secretariat.
  • Abstract review or modification is available until April 20 (Wed), 2016
  • Previously published abstracts in cancer-related international meetings can be also submitted as well as new unpublished abstracts.
  • If your submitted abstract has been firstly presented in 42nd annual meeting and submitted CANCER RESEARCH AND TREATMENT, official journal of Korean Cancer Association, Priority of fast review will be provided by publication committee of Korean Cancer Association (CRT(IF(2014):3.318)

International Session

International Sessions provide an opportunities for not only local but also international participants to present their premier research findings.
Especially in this session, new unpublished abstracts as well as previously published abstracts in cancer-related international meetings and abstracts will be presented in English.



Plenary Session

A number of selected presentations who demonstrate the highest levels of scientific and clinical impact will be recognized by scientific committee.
In this session, original articles that is not presented in international conferences are required and will be presented in English.



Awards

  • Merit Award (Korean) : The scientific committee will select 15 candidates under the category of Best Paper and top three (Gold : 1 and Silver : 2) winners will be granted at the closing ceremony On June 17th . Three recipients of Best Paper will be given an award certificate along with the prize money. (Gold: KRW 2,000,000 / Silver: KRW 1,000,000). In addition, a KRW 500,000 cash prize will be given to 12 candidates.
  • Travel Awards (Foreigner) : Travel awards have been established to recognize authors for International participants’ outstanding achievements and contributions to scientific development in the field of Cancer. It will be selected by the Scientific Committee and each abstract award recipient will receive a US $1,000 cash award.
